Dr. John C. Hughes, D.O.

Dr. John Hughes, D.O. practices osteopathic and integrative medicine. His clinic, Aspen Integrative Medicine provides the latest innovations in modern and natural medical care in Aspen and Basalt, Colorado. He is also the founder of TBI Therapy, a clinic that offers treatment for traumatic brain injury. Dr. Hughes graduated from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007 and received training in family practice at the University of Arizona.

Dr. Hughes has pursued extensive post-graduate training in integrative medicine, prolotherapy and osteopathic manipulative therapy. He is a speaker for the Aspen Sports Medicine Foundation (ASMF), the American Academy of Ozonotherapy (AAO) and the American Association of Orthopaedic Medicine (AAOM).

Dr. Vanessa Ruiz, NMD, RN

Dr. Vanessa is a Naturopathic physician, holistic nurse with a focus on mental and gastrointestinal health. She creatively utilizes natural therapies such as homeopathy, biofeedback, nutrition and botanical medicines to address chronic diseases. She is a national speaker on the effect of adverse childhood experiences and toxic stress through national organizations and is a corporate trainer for therapists and functional medicine providers. She is part of the medical faculty at the Arizona  Trauma Institute, and the medical advisory board of Evergreen Certifications, where she shares her passion for functional medicine with other healthcare professionals.

She has been featured in the “A Created Life” Documentary, “Voyage Phoenix” and “Shoutout Arizona” for her work in natural mental health.
